NOTICES
Special Congregational Meeting
Last Sunday we were delighted to have Rev Pauline Hampshire join us in St Peter’s to “Preach for the Call”. The church was full and we were treated to a very inspirational sermon from her. She had chosen the music which was a lovely mix of traditional, contemporary and reflective music.
Following the service we held a special congregational meeting to vote on the motion to recommend “That the Rev Pauline Hampshire be called to be the Minister at the Community Church of Akaroa Banks Peninsula.” The motion was passed unanimously.
A report on the meeting and a recommendation now goes to the Alpine Presbytery Council to be voted on by them. If the recommendation is passed, a date will then be set for the Ordination and Induction of Pauline.
Prayer Meeting – please join us for prayer at Trinity Hall every Wednesday morning from 9.30 am until 10.15 am.
Weekly Offering
Please note that we are no longer collecting cash offerings during our services. Most of our members have arranged direct credits to the Community Church bank account :
(02 1268 0174313 000).
There is a wooden box at the back of both of our churches where cash offerings can be deposited at any stage.
Offering for Heartlands
Gifts of grocery and household items can be left in the basket at church each Sunday morning. These are then passed on to Kerry at Heartlands, and distributed to those in our community in need. Thank you.
